Almost three decades into its history, EL Labs gets incorporated into the BBA investment group, and goes on to form an integral part of their science arm, Conscio Group.

Demonstrating our commitment to remaining at the forefront of the industry, EL Labs obtains their Manufacturer’s Authorization in the new EU format, and successfully renews its Certificate of GMP Compliance from the national authority of ŠÚKL Slovakia.

EL Labs announces a change in the ownership structure for the first time since its conception as it powers its continued growth via the entry of investment capital.

EL Labs goes global and expands its customer base outside of Slovakia by signing the first contract with an international customer. The start of a constant expansion of their global portfolio that continues to grow from strength to strength.

Another notable milestone in the growth of EL Labs was the approval to act as a control laboratory and gain full GMP certification for performing pharmaceutical testing of human medicinal products by the Approving Decree of the State Institute for Drug Control (ŠÚKL).

Approval was granted this year to appoint EL Labs as a control laboratory for veterinary medicinal products by national authority ÚŠKVBL Slovakia, and they subsequently obtained their first Certificate of GMP Compliance for veterinary medicinal products.

A huge year for EL Labs as they relocated all laboratory facilities into their very own modern premises, where the company remains to this day.

Fast forward 12 months and EL Labs went on to obtain a Certificate for testing and sampling according to ISO/IEC 17025 from the national authority of the Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS).

Only a year later EL Labs rolled out the ability to conduct pharmaceutical testing Aqua purificata and also obtained the Certificate of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) from the State Institute for Drug Control (ŠÚKL) of Slovakia. A key milestone to achieve in just a few short years.

Great growth spurred further expansion and a second site was established to enable the introduction of gas and liquid chromatography methods, ecotoxicological tests, and microbiology.

With their first year complete and over 20 experts and laboratory technicians already employed, EL Labs upgraded and leased premises of the former State Veterinary Administration in the iconic building of the former equestrian chateau in parallel with expanding the analytical services offered.

Six experts with vast experience in analytical chemistry, geochemistry, environmental chemistry, and geology established a new company. EL Labs was born.
